EHS Coordinator
Location: Waller, Texas
Reports To: Director of Manufacturing & Facilities
Job Purpose:
The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring workplace safety and compliance with health and environmental regulations. This role is essential for fostering a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety programs and policies
- Train employees on health and safety protocols
- Conduct inspections to identify hazards and violations
- Prepare and submit compliance documents to regulatory agencies
- Monitor operational processes and employee activities for safety
- Generate reports, manuals, and documentation related to health and safety
- Stay updated on the latest EHS trends and regulations
Skills/Qualifications:
- 3+ years in environmental engineering, safety management, or a related field
- Certification in OSHA or similar EHS standards
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in tools like MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Detailed knowledge of regulations such as OSHA, EPA, and ANSI
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Experience in welding and fabrication environments
Key Skills:
- Knowledge of Regulations: Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and other local, state, and federal safety regulations
- Risk Assessment: The ability to evaluate potential hazards and implement preventative measures
- Incident Investigation: Skills to identify root causes of accidents and develop corrective actions
- Environmental Management: Understanding of waste disposal, pollution control, and sustainability practices
- Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing safety trends and creating reports based on findings
