EHS Coordinator

Location:  Waller, Texas

Reports To:  Director of Manufacturing & Facilities

Job Purpose:

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring workplace safety and compliance with health and environmental regulations. This role is essential for fostering a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safety programs and policies
  • Train employees on health and safety protocols
  • Conduct inspections to identify hazards and violations
  • Prepare and submit compliance documents to regulatory agencies
  • Monitor operational processes and employee activities for safety
  • Generate reports, manuals, and documentation related to health and safety
  • Stay updated on the latest EHS trends and regulations

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in environmental engineering, safety management, or a related field
  • Certification in OSHA or similar EHS standards
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in tools like MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Detailed knowledge of regulations such as OSHA, EPA, and ANSI

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Experience in welding and fabrication environments

Key Skills:

  • Knowledge of Regulations: Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and other local, state, and federal safety regulations
  • Risk Assessment: The ability to evaluate potential hazards and implement preventative measures
  • Incident Investigation: Skills to identify root causes of accidents and develop corrective actions
  • Environmental Management: Understanding of waste disposal, pollution control, and sustainability practices
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing safety trends and creating reports based on findings
