Technical Sales / Project Manager

Job Purpose:

TITAN Project Managers have two primary goals, one follows the other. Goal one is to work directly with new and existing customers to sell process equipment that is designed specifically to meet the needs of that customer’s facility. As part of this goal a Project Manager will design or assist in the design of the equipment, estimate the cost of production, and actively sell the equipment. If the sale is made the Project Manager moves to goal two, managing the production of the equipment. In pursuit of goal two, the Project Manager will work with the engineering department to produce the engineering documentation, purchase materials, work with production to get the equipment built, and ultimately work with shipping to get the finished equipment to the end user.

The most successful Project Managers will be entrepreneurial in nature with strong problem-solving skills. Ideal candidates will be comfortable negotiating and have experience managing internal and external resources. Project Managers must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field, or 5+ years of related experience in the process industry, experience in a manufacturing environment, and negation and sales experience.

  • Excellent communicator with the ability to effectively translate technical data to the lay person
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Costing and project management capabilities/experience
  • Ability to sell and negotiate
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and critical milestone schedules
  • Strong chemical, and/or mechanical engineering knowledge
  • Proficient computer software skills and ability to work with an ERP system
